It was a classic match-up for the State Title in #1 Singles between two sophomore friends who were playing against each other in high school for the first time. Northville’s Sachiv Kumar, the 5th seed, defeated unseeded Clay Anderson, from Rochester, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(5) for the No. 1 singles title.
#2 Singles Yagumo Morikawa went 1-1, #3 Singles Gakuto Morikawa swept his Stoney Creek opponent 6-0, 6-0 and went 2-1 nearly advancing to the semis.
The number #1 doubles team of Jack Crandall and Sid Rangarajan went 1-1 for the tournament, #2 doubles of Nikki Rangarajan and Parker Zielonka also went 1-1 in their matches, #4 doubles Ryan Loren and Brett Hamway also went 1-1.
