Jack VanHowe earned 37 points for the team finishing 1st in the 100 back and 2nd in the 200IM. Joseph Sun earned 17 points with a 6th place finish in the 100 breast and a 13th place finish in the 50 free. Lucas Hosch and Robert Reif also contiributed to the over all team finish. Way to go team!!!

Rochester’s Jack VanHowe set a personal best winning the 100 freestyle (46.19), and won the 100 backstroke (49.97).

2022 Boys MHSAA Division 1 Championships

Rochester sent eight athletes to the MHSAA Boys Division 1 State Meet! The meet started our great with a 5th place finish in the 200 Medley Relay - VanHowe, Sun, Hosch, & Reif, earning them another swim on Saturday! Lucas Hosch finished 18th (best time 53:01) in the 100 Fly. On Friday, Jack VanHowe finished 2nd in the 100 Free (best time 45.61), positioning himself for a possible state title on finals tomorrow! The 200 Free Relay of Sun, Reif, Batey & Lucier finished 22nd (1:30.98). Jack VanHowe finished 2nd in the 100 back (48.90) and positioned himself again for a state title! Joseph Sun finished 24th (1:01.05) in the 100 Breast. The 400 Free Relay of Reif, Brito, Sun, & VanHowe finished 12th, earning another swim on Saturday. Looking forward to exciting swims on Saturday in the 200 Medley Relay, VanHowe in both the 100 Free and 100 Back and the 400 Free Relay - Go Falcons!!!

2022 Boys MHSAA Division 1 Championships

RESULTS: Congratulations on your 11th Place Team Finish! And Congrats to Rochester High School's 2022 State Champion, Jack VanHowe!

Rochester swam in the MHSAA Boys Division 1 State Meet and did incredibly well. The 200 Medley Relay finished 5th (1:34.92 & All-State) with Jack VanHowe, Joseph Sun, Lucas Hosch, & Bobby Reif. In the 100 Fly, Jack VanHowe finished 5th (45.91 & All-State).

Jack VanHowe finished 1st in the 100 Back (48.13 & All-State), making him a two-time State Champion. What a way to end his four years as a Rochester Falcon Swimmer! The 400 Free Relay finished 14th (3:16.80) with Bobby Reif, Marcello Brito, Joseph Sun, and Jack VanHowe! In the 50 Yard Freestyle Paralympic, Tim MacLean finished in 2nd Place (39.20). In an exceptionally competitive field, Rochester finished 11th. Congratulations, Falcons, on a great state meet!
