Success for the Highlanders in double header today!!

Highlanders won 8-4 in game one against Lakeland High School. Chris Milliken pitched 4 innings giving up one earned run and striking out 3. Adams scored 5 runs in the bottom of the first. Parker Picot beat out an infield single with one out. Jackson Borowksi reached on an error. Jon Ursuy drove home Picot with a single. With runners on first and third, Jackson stole second base and Jon stole home to put the Highlanders up 2-0. Buck Snabes singled to right to score Borowski. After Gavin Bush walked and Will Stice were hit by a pitch, Joey Ciluffo walked to score Snabes. Benny Dempster walked to score Bush. Stice then scored on a wild pitch to put the Highlanders up 5-0. Lakeland answered back and scored one run in the top of the 2nd. Parker Picot lead off the bottom of the second with a single. He stole second base and Ursuy walked. Picot then steals 3rd base and scores on a throwing error to put Adams up 6-1. Joey Ciluffo lead off the 3rd inning with a single and eventually scores on a passed ball with two outs. In the bottom of the 4th Borowski scores on a bases loaded walk with Stice at the plate to make 8-1. Lakeland scores 3 in the top of the 5th to make it 8-4. Nathan Bishop finished the game pitching 2 2/3 innings allowing no hits or runs to pick up the save.

In game two the Highlanders had to work at little harder. They fought to came back for the win after being down 5-3 in the bottom of the 6th to win 7-6. Adams started the game by scoring first for the eighth time this year to go up 3- 0 in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Nathan Bishop led off with a single, his first varsity hit. Braedy Limke then doubled. Parker Picot then almost went yard for a sacrifice fly to score Bishop and Limke advanced to third base. After Bino Watters and Borowski were both hit by pitches Tait Picot singled to left field scoring Limke and Watters. Lakeland scored 3 in the top of the 4th to tie the game 3-3. Lakeland scored 2 more in the top of the fifth to make it a 5-3 game. In the bottom of the 6th inning, Limke walked then Parker Picot singled to left field. Watters doubled to left scoring Limke. Borowski was intentionally walked, then Tait Picot walked to score his brother Parker. Will Krol hit a groundball in the hole and it was a fielder’s choice out at 3B to score Watters. Tait then scored on a wild pitch to make it 7-5. Jake Andrzejak came in and picked up the save in his first game at the Varisty level, he gave up one run to give the Highlanders a 7-6 come from behind win. The Highlanders are 7-1 going in to league play against the DH against Oxford on Tuesday.

The Highlanders defeated Oxford on Wednesday, April 20th 11-0 and 6-3. In game one Jackson Borowski picked up the win on the mound allowing only 1 hit and 1 BB while striking out five in the shortened game. In game two Parker Picot struck out 9 in the win and Tait Picot recorded the save.

On Saturday, April 23rd, the Highlanders fell to Romeo in 2 games, 2-6 and 8-9.

Chris Milliken started the game for Adams Highlanders Varsity. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out seven.

The lefty, Will Churchill, lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and four runs while striking out one.

Adams Highlanders Varsity lost despite out-hitting Romeo Varsity Bulldogs nine to four. Buck Snabes, Churchill, Ben Dempster, Joey Ciluffo, Will Stice, Will Krol, Milliken, Jon Ursuy, and Parker Picot each collected one hit to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity.

In the second game that day a walk-off left Adams Highlanders Varsity on the wrong end of a 9-8 defeat to Romeo Varsity Bulldogs on Saturday. The game was tied at eight but the Highlanders were unable to pull off the victory.

Adams Highlanders Varsity lost despite out-hitting Romeo Varsity Bulldogs 11 to nine.

In the first inning, Adams Highlanders Varsity got their offense started when Tait Picot singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Stice, Ciluffo, and Limke worked hard on the mound but the Highlanders couldn’t stop the Bulldogs.

Adams Highlanders Varsity tallied 11 hits in the game. Picot and Limke all managed multiple hits for Adams Highlanders Varsity. Picot led Adams Highlanders Varsity with three hits in four at bats.

Game 1 - Adams Highlanders Varsity defeated Clarkston Wolves Varsity 6-0 on Monday.

Adams Highlanders Varsity got on the board in the first inning. Bino Watters's sac fly scored two runs for Adams Highlanders Varsity.

Parker Picot was the winning pitcher for Adams Highlanders Varsity. P. Picot allowed three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out nine. Ursuy threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Adams Highlanders Varsity launched one home run on the day. P. Picot had a four bagger in the third inning.

Picot led Adams Highlanders Varsity with two hits in three at bats. Adams Highlanders Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Great game to watch!



Game 2 - Despite allowing three runs in the first inning, Adams Highlanders Varsity defeated Clarkston Wolves Varsity 7-5 on Monday.

Adams Highlanders Varsity got on the board in the first inning when Jon Ursuy's sac fly scored one run for Adams Highlanders Varsity.

In the bottom of the third inning, Clarkston Wolves Varsity tied things up at five.

Adams Highlanders Varsity pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Parker Picot doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Chris Milliken took the win for Adams Highlanders Varsity. Milliken lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one. Will Stice threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Stice recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Adams Highlanders Varsity.

Braedy Limke went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity in hits. Adams Highlanders Varsity stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Joey Ciluffo led the way with two.

Adams Highlanders Varsity's effort to come back from down nine runs in the fifth inning came up just short, as they fell 9-7 to Clarkston Wolves Varsity on Wednesday. Adams Highlanders Varsity scored six runs in the failed comeback on a single by Bino Watters in the fifth, a single by Jon Ursuy in the fifth, a single by Jackson Borowski in the fifth, a single by Buck Snabes in the fifth, and a single by Gavin Bush in the seventh.

Adams Highlanders Varsity fell behind early in the loss. Clarkston Wolves Varsity scored on a walk by Brady Krzciok, a single by Mason King, and an error during Payton O'neil's at bat in the first inning.

Clarkston Wolves Varsity got on the board in the first inning. Krzciok drew a walk, scoring one run.

Adams Highlanders Varsity scored five runs in the fifth inning. Watters, Ursuy, Borowski, and Snabes all drove in runs in the frame.

Borowski took the loss for Adams Highlanders Varsity. The pitcher surrendered seven runs on five hits over four innings, striking out two.

Preston Stout started the game for Clarkston Wolves Varsity, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking zero.

While Adams tallied ten hits in the game it just wasn’t enough to secure the win. Multiple hits were made by Ursuy, Watters, and Snabes for Adams Highlanders. Ursuy led the Highlanders with three hits in four at bats.

Adams vs Perrysburg - Doubleheader - Game 1

RESULTS: Win 16-6, Record: 13-4

The Highlanders went 2-0 this weekend against Perrysburg, Ohio to improve their overall record to 13-4, 5-1 in the OAA Red. It was a big sweep for the Highlanders on Saturday as they defeated the #5 team in the state of Ohio 16-6 and 11-10.

In game one Churchill earned the win for Adams Highlanders Varsity. The southpaw surrendered four runs on three hits over four innings, striking out five. Joey Ciluffo threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen to close out the win for the Highlanders.

Adams Highlanders Varsity had three home runs on the day. In the fourth inning Limke went yard. Parker Picot went for the long ball in the fifth inning followed by twin brother, Tait Picot who had an oppo dinger in the same inning only to show a little brotherly love and competition.

Adams Varsity collected 14 hits on the day. Jon Ursuy, Tait Picot, Parker Picot, Ciluffo, and Limke all managed multiple hits for Adams Highlanders Varsity. Tait Picot and Ursuy each managed three hits to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity.

RESULTS: Win 11-10, Record: 14-4

The pitcher surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Chris Milliken relieved throwing two innings out of the bullpen. Milliken recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Adams Highlanders Varsity.

Adams Highlanders Varsity came from behind and pulled away to ensure the win with four runs in the fourth inning.

Bino Watters singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Jake Sukkar singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs to help ensure the pull ahead by the Highlanders.

Adams Highlanders Varsity totaled ten hits in the game. Parker Picot, Watters, and Sukkar all had multiple hits for Adams Highlanders Varsity. Parker Picot went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity in hits.

Adams vs Rochester - Game 1

RESULTS: Win 8-4, Record: 15-4

Parker Picot lead Adams Highlanders Varsity to victory on the mound in game one of three. The righthander lasted six innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out eight. Will Stice came in and threw one inning in relief to complete the game.

The Highlanders lead the whole game but the Falcons tried to make a comeback in the seventh inning where Adams Highlanders Varsity coughed up three runs. Adams Highlanders Held strong to get the win 8-4.

The Highlanders put up four runs in the sixth inning. Highlander bats were led by freshman, Ben Dempster, with 1 RBI, Tait Picot , with 2 RBI, and Bino Watters, with 3 RBI.

Adams Highlanders sophomore, Brenson “Bino” Watters is credited with his first HR this season during the victory over crosstown rival Falcons.

The Highlanders scattered ten hits compared to the Falcons 5 hits to take the victory.

Adams vs Rochester - Game 2

RESULTS: Win 9-7, Record: 16-4

Adams Highlanders Varsity built a nine-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Rochester for a 9-7 victory on Monday. Rochester scored seven runs in the failed comeback over the next few innings.

Jon Ursuy led Adams Highlanders Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. Ursuy went 2-for-3 at the plate. Adams Highlanders fired up the offense in the first inning, when Ursuy singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Ursuy had continued success hitting for a double in the second.

Adams Highlanders Varsity tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Adams Highlanders Varsity's big bats in the inning were led by a single by Buck Snabes, a sac fly by Tait Picot, and a double by Bino Watters.

Rochester scored three runs in the sixth inning.

Ursuy was the winning pitcher for Adams Highlanders Varsity. The righthander surrendered zero runs on two hits over four innings, striking out six and walking one. Colton Jones and Chris Milliken entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Adams collected ten hits on the day. Ursuy, Parker Picot, and Watters all had multiple hits for Adams. The Highlanders was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Brady Doelle (catcher) made the most plays with 12.

Adams vs Rochester

RESULTS: Win 11-1, Record: 17-4

Adams Highlanders Varsity ran off with the lead late in the game in an 11-1 victory over Rochester Falcons on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Adams Highlanders batting in the bottom of the fourth when Buck Snabes singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Adams Highlanders Varsity secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the fourth inning. Ben Dempster, Snabes, Parker Picot, Bino Watters, Jon Ursuy, and Braedy Limke each drove in runs during the inning.

Adams Highlanders Varsity pulled away for good with seven runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Dempster singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, Picot doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Watters singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Ursuy drew a walk, scoring one run, and Nate Hanna induced Limke to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.Tait Picot led the Adams Highlanders Varsity to victory on the mound. The righty went six innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out seven.

Rochester allowed five hits and five runs over three and a third innings.

Adams Highlanders Varsity had 11 hits in the game. Dempster, P. Picot, Sukkar, and Bush managed to lead the Highlanders with two hits each.

Dempster (catcher) had the most chances in the field with eight.

Adams vs Utica Ford II - Doubleheader

WHEN/WHERE: 11am Home

Adams HS, 3200 W Tienken Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48306

RESULTS: Win 11-1, Record: 18-4

Utica Ford fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 11-1 loss to Adams on Saturday. Adams took the lead on a few singles in the first inning.

Ford struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Adams, giving up 11 runs.

Adams scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Adams came thanks to a single by Tait Picot and a double by John Ursay.

Colton Jones was the winning pitcher for Adams. The hurler surrendered one run on five hits over five innings, striking out six.

Adams scattered 14 hits in the game. Tait Picot 3/4, Parker Picot. 2/3, Buck Snabes 2/4, Brenson Watters 2/4, and Jon Ursay 2/4.

Adams was sure-handed on the field with Brandy Dohle making the most plays with five.

Adams vs Stoney Creek - Doubleheader

RESULTS: Win 11-1, Record: 19-4

Jon Ursay comes on strong to take the first win in the series against the Stoney Creek Varsity Baseball team, 11-0.

Jon Ursuy threw a gem on Monday for the Adams Highlander’s, allowing zero runs and besting Stoney Creek Cougars Varsity by a score of 11-0

The Highlanders secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. Adams put the pressure on Stoney early when Jake Sukkar lead with a triple.

Ursuy was credited with the victory for Adams Highlanders Varsity. Ursuy went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out six and walking one.

Adams Highlanders Varsity totaled nine hits in the game. Tait Picot and Brenson Watters each collected two hits to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity.

RESULTS: Win 11-3, Record: 20-4

Jake Sukkar was bad news for opposing pitchers on Monday, driving in five runs on three hits to lead Adams past Stoney Creek 11-3 on Monday.

Adams scored on a double by Jon Ursuy in the first inning, a single by Sukkar in the first inning, a fielder's choice by Buck Snabes in the second inning, a home run by Parker Picot in the second inning, and a single by Sukkar in the second and sixth innings.

Parker Picot was the winning pitcher for Adams Highlanders Varsity. The righty lasted five innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out seven. Chris Milliken threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Adams Highlanders Varsity launched one home run on the day. P. Picot had a long ball in the second inning.

Adams Highlanders Varsity tallied nine hits. Sukkar went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity in hits.

Adams vs Stoney Creek

RESULTS: Win 8-6, Record: 21-4

It was a high-scoring game between Adams and Stoney Creek Cougars Highlanders prevailed 8-6.

The Highlanders Got on the scoreboard early in the first inning when Parker Picot started things off by hitting a solo homer.

At the end of the second inning Stoney Fought to tie things up at three on wild by pitch.

Adams Made the final pull away for good in the fourth inning when Parker Picot homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Adams secured the victory by scoring three runs in the top of the seventh, Stoney Creek Cougars Varsity answered with three of their own.

Churchill earned the victory on the mound for Adams. The lefthander went four innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out four. Will Stice and Borowski entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Adams Highlanders Varsity launched two homers by P. Picot, in the first and fourth innings.

The Highlanders bats were hot and scattered 11 hits in the game. P. Picot, Buck Snabes, and Tait Picot each managed three hits to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity.

Adams vs Lake Orion - Doubleheader

Adams HS, 3200 W Tienken Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48306

RESULTS: Loss 0-8, Record: 21-5

Adams was shut out on Monday by Lake Orions solid pitcher, #12, Waters. WATERS earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Dragons. The lefthander lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out eight and walking one.

Adams first score came when Brenson Waters doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

The Dragons tallied three runs in the sixth inning which contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Jon Ursuy didn't allow a single run against Dragons, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Adams Highlanders Varsity to a 10-0 victory in game 2 on Monday.

A single by Robertson was the only hit for Lake Orion.

Ursuy led the Adams Highlanders Varsity to victory on the hill. The righty lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking one.

Overall Adams tallied ten hits and eight runs.

Adams Highlanders Varsity launched one home run on the day. Parker Picot went deep in the second inning for a grand slam.

Adams Highlanders Varsity tallied ten hits in the game. Jake Sukkar and Tait Picot each had multiple hits for Adams Highlanders Varsity. Tait Picot and Sukkar each collected two hits to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity.

Adams takes series over Lake Orion and clinches OAA Red League Championship for a 13-2 league record.

Adams Highlanders Varsity defeated Dragons 2-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Junior, Tait Picot, went 4.2 innings and and senior, Jon Ursuy, went 2 innings for the victory.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Adams Highlanders Varsity pitchers struck out six.

Adams Highlanders Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning and got on the boards when Ursuy singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Tait Picot led the Adams Highlanders and got the win. Ursuy recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Adams Highlanders Varsity.

Adams Highlanders Varsity socked one home run on the day. Tait Picot put one out in the sixth inning.

T. Picot, Buck Snabes, Jackson Borowski, Bino Watters, and Ursuy each collected one hit to lead Adams Highlanders Varsity.
