17th Annual Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial Cookout!
Unites Community in Honoring Police and Fire Service Personnel
May 18, 2023, Oakland County, MI - – Oakland County is once again gearing up to pay tribute to Michigan's Fallen Heroes from
police and fire service at the highly antcipated 17th Annual Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial Cookout, scheduled to
take place on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 11:30am-1:30pm. This heartelt event, made possible by the generous
support of Vibe Credit Union and Leo's Coney Island (Highland, Waterford, and White Lake), aims to honor the brave
individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting our community.
This event not only pays tribute to the memory of police officers and firefighters who died in the line of duty, but also
provides an opportunity for the community to come together at the Memorial site located on Oakland County’s campus
and show support for their families. The cookout promises a festive atmosphere with delicious food and refreshments
generously provided by Leo's Coney Island (Highland, Waterford, White Lake), Buffalo Wild Wings of Rochester Hills, Cold
Stone Creamery of Rochester Hills, and new this year, the Rapid Relief Team, who will be preparing their signature
burger. Tickets are available for $10 per person the day of, or in advance for $7 per person by CLICKING HERE.

Sheriff Michael J. Bouchard, Oakland County Sheriff and Memorial founder, said, “The Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial
Cookout serves as a reminder of the importance of recognizing and remembering the bravery and selflessness of those
who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the communities where they served. We encourage folks to come out and join
us for lunch next Wednesday and visit the Memorial.”
The event is open to the public and parking is available at Building 38E or in the parking lot just south of Building 28E, the
Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office. A shutle will be provided from that parking area, but it is within walking
distance as well. Vibe Credit Union volunteers will be on hand to assist with the festivities, as well as volunteers from the
Desert Angels military support organization, and the Rapid Relief Team’s crew.
