5K Run/Walk for Meals on Wheels
June 3 | 8am Start/ Registration 7am | $30 Adult / $20 Age 13 & Under
5K family fun run/walk that raises funds for Meals on Wheels. The event begins at 8am at the OPC, travels along Letica Drive and the Clinton River Trail. The course doubles back and ends at the OPC. Register by May 19 to receive an event t-shirt. Preregister by 5/30 - $30 Adult / $20 Age 13 & Under. After 5/30 - $35 Adult / $25 Age 13 & Under. Maintaining our health and well-being is essential to an improved quality of life. Personal Fitness Trainer Alex Bartz joins us to explain how a personal trainer can help keep you on track and motivated to keep going when you want to give up. Working with a personal trainer is one of the best and safest ways to make sure you’re getting enough exercise and meeting your fitness goals. Program and dessert. Caring & Sharing Loss Support Group

Participating in a grief support group can be a healthy step in the healing process. Meet others who are dealing with similar losses and gain a better understanding of the grief process. Alzheimer’s/Dementia Caregivers Group

Visually Impaired Group

Parkinson’s Support

Parkinson’s Care Partner Group
June 28 | 1pm to 3pm
This group provides an opportunity for those who are caring for their loved one to come together for support, sharing and time to talk with others who are also living with Parkinson’s. Call facilitator Kathy Walton 248.568.3549. The OPC is located at 650 Letica Drive, Rochester.

The Older Persons' Commission (OPC) provides something for everyone 50+ with a wide array of personal enrichment, fitness, aquatic, social and travel offerings. We also offer supportive senior services such as Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Service, Transportation and more. Residents 50+ of the City of Rochester Hills, City of Rochester and Charter Township of Oakland are automatically members of the 90,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility.
