Troy Man Charged in Stabbing at Rochester Hills Restaurant!

Oakland County, MI – March 10, 2023 – A Troy man who stabbed a co-worker multiple times after arguing and fighting with him as both men were interested in the same woman was arraigned today in Rochester Hills on a felonious assault charge.

David Isiah Roberts, 22, is accused of stabbing the 28-year-old Rochester Hills man in the abdomen. 52-3rd District Court Magistrate Karen Holt set a $10,000 – 10 percent bond for Roberts, who was released from the Oakland County Jail on Friday.

The incident happened Wednesday at approximately 5:25 p.m. in the Hungry Howie’s at 2638 S. Rochester Road in Rochester Hills. Deputies were dispatched to the location on the report of a stabbing.

When they arrived, deputies found the Rochester Hills man had been stabbed several times and ultimately learned he had been stabbed after an argument and fight with Roberts. Detectives determined the two had argued and began fighting because of their interest in the same woman. The knife used in the stabbing had a 5-inch blade.

The Rochester Hills man was taken to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery for injuries to his lung and liver. He was listed in stable condition today.
