Meadow Brook Garden Club Presents:
Dr. Kevin Korus on “Agricultural Myths”
The Meadow Brook Garden Club will meet Friday, February 24, 2023 at Meadow Brook Hall, 350 Estate Dr., Rochester MI 48309-1904. Coffee and refreshments will be served at 9:15am. The program will be presented through Zoom at 10:00am featuring guest speaker, Dr. Kevin Korus. Dr. Korus will be presenting from Florida on the topic “Agricultural Myths.”
Kevin Korus has a Doctorate in Plant Health (DPH), and is the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension Natural Resources Agent. Dr. Korus is a native of Nebraska where he received all three of his degrees; a Bachelor’s in Horticulture, Master’s in Plant Pathology, and in 2016 the Doctor of Plant Health.
Dr. Korus has spent the last four years as the Coordinator of the Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic and an Extension Educator at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. During this time he was able to gain experience with a wide range of agronomic, horticulture, and landscape plants and the insect, disease, and nutrient issues that they faced. He is passionate about diagnosing plant health issues and firmly believes that a correct management plan can only be developed after the correct diagnosis has been made. He is excited to be an advocate of plant health and looks forward to addressing the issues that arise in the wonderfully diverse Ag and Natural Resource systems of the great state of Florida.
