January 2023, Rochester, MI - RARA (Rochester Avon Recreation Authority) offers a variety of programs for the Greater Rochester Community. This article highlights recreational programs across Basketball, Soccer, and Volleyball.


BASKETBALL

RARA Youth Basketball Leagues

When: Saturdays

Age Divisions: K-1st Grade, 2nd-3rd Grade, 4th-5th Grade Boys and Girls, Middle School Boys and Girls

Start Date: Saturday, Jan 21, 2023

Cost: $215 (resident) / $235 (non-resident)

RARA High School Basketball Leagues

When: Saturdays

Start Date: Saturday, Jan 21, 2023

Cost: $225 per person



SOCCER

RARA Magic Soccer Academy

Ages 3-4, 5-6:
This class will teach the basics of soccer through fun and entertaining instruction. Players will learn the rules and basic techniques of soccer and use their skills in drills.

Ages 7-12:
Join RARA & Pato today and watch as your child learns the proper techniques of dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and game tactics in a fun and exciting atmosphere.

When:
Winter 1 (6 Sessions)
Wednesday (Starts 1/4/2023-2/8/2023) and Saturday (Starts 1/7/2023-2/11/2023)

Winter 2 (6 sessions)
Wednesday (Starts 2/15/2023-3/22/2023) and Saturday (Starts 2/18/2023-3/25/2023)

Cost: $129 (resident) / $149 (non-resident)


Magic Advanced Soccer Training

Pato Margetic & his trainers offer advanced soccer training for players ready to compete at the next level. Program is tailored towards intermediate & select/travel players.

Pato "The Magic Man" Margetic has played for the Argentina Jr National Team, Borussia Dortmund, the Detroit Express, Chicago Sting, was a professional player/coach for over 10 years & youth soccer coach/director for over 20 years which has given him the experience to train soccer players and develop them to the highest level.

Bring shin guards, water bottle and soccer cleats. Sign up today as space is limited.

Ages: 7-10 Boys, 7-12 Girls, and 11-14 Boys

When:
Session starts Tuesday, Jan 24, 2023. This program is 9 sessions long.

Cost: $249 (resident) / $269 (non-resident)



VOLLEYBALL

RARA Youth Volleyball Clinics

In this clinic players will learn the game of volleyball with a personalized Fun approach. All skills will be touched on throughout the clinic; passing, serving, setting, defense, attacking and blocking. Small scale drills, partner work, group drills and game scenarios will be utilized. All participants will receive a clinic t-shirt.

Ages: 10U, 12U, 14U Leagues available

When/Where:
This program will consist of 8 sessions starting Saturday, Januay 28, 2023. Sessions in Rochester School Gym.

Cost: $200 (resident) / $220 (non-resident)
