Leadership Greater Rochester Welcomes Class of 2022-2023!
Oct 12, 2022, Rochester, MI - The Leadership Greater Rochester program, sponsored by Par Pharmaceutical, recently welcomed the incoming class of 2022-2023 at the Kick-Off Dinner at Great Oaks Country Club.
Program Director Maggie Sutherland-Bobitz shared about the Rochester Regional Chamber (RRC) Foundation and introduced Foundation Board member Dave Walker - Rochester Area Real Estate Resource to share his experience with the program and provide a little history on the organization.
Then Keynote Speaker, Jaymes Vettraino of Rochester University, engaged the class in ice-breaker activities and gave a compelling challenge to grow as a leaders in our community.

This nine-month program is a gateway to involvement and connections in the greater Rochester communities. Dedicated to the development of community-minded leaders, the program’s goal is to help develop the skills of emerging leaders from across the community. The program provides participants with an opportunity to meet local elected officials and community leaders to gain insight into the region’s unique history, activities and economy.
Participants meet one day each month and are immersed in a different component of the community such as health care, local government, history, law enforcement, education, economic growth and human services. Meetings are held at various locations providing an insiders‘ perspective and private tour.
Program Director Maggie Sutherland-Bobitz shared, "Our mission is to build a broad-based network of community leaders to enhance their leadership abilities and skills through continuing education, shared perspectives, and community involvement in order to enable them to work toward solutions in the public interest. We can't wait to see what this amazing group of individuals will do together!"
