OPC membership is available at no charge to all residents 50+ of Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township. Registration forms are available at OPC or online at opcseniorcenter.org. You must register in person as proof of residency is required. The OPC is located at 650 Letica Drive, Rochester.
TOP CHEF 2022 COMPETITION!
August 11 | 5-7pm
After a three-year hiatus, twelve Senior Living Community chefs will be competing at the OPC to be crowned Top Chef 2022 on August 11, from 5-7pm. They’ll face off in the categories of appetizer, entree and dessert. The culinary skills of these individuals will be judged by local executive chefs and professionals with an award ceremony MC’d by David Walker, with Presenting Sponsor Ascension Providence Rochester presenting the trophies.
The Senior Living Communities who will be competing to be crowned Top Chef 2022 are The Avalon of Bloomfield Township, Baldwin House Pontiac, Bellbrook, Blossom Ridge, Blossom Springs, Cedarbrook of Rochester, Magnolia by the Lakes, Pomeroy Living, Randall Residence, Vista Springs, Waltonwood Main and Waltonwood University. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Meals on Wheels and Act of Kindness programs provided by the OPC which provide nutritious meals, wellness checks and home repair assistance for vulnerable seniors. The Village of Rochester Hills and Pixley Funeral Home are the Supporting Sponsors helping to stage this fun foodie event.
The Top Chef event is open to the public, and $15 tickets are on sale now. Guests will have an opportunity to sample each entry. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Wine Tasting in the Garden | Garden Dining Experience
August 16 | 6:00-8:00pm
Five course meal with wine pairings for each course. Sommelier Michael Cregar from Woodberry Wine Company will discuss each selection and pairing notes. Live music from acoustic easy listening trio, Stix ‘n Strings. Event is open to the public and tickets are $30.
650 Nite Club | Elvis Tribute Night
August 18 | 6pm to 7:30pm
Live Elvis Impersonator playing all of ‘The King’s’ classics. This fun evening is open to the public and includes delicious appetizers and refreshments. Tickets are $15.

The Genitti’s Theater Players are putting on a very serious Murder/Mystery full of intrigue, greed, blackmail and secret identities. The only problem is they may not have enough actors for all the parts, so may be looking to guests to help bring the show to life! Tickets are on sale now. The Older Persons' Commission (OPC) provides something for everyone 50+ with a wide array of personal enrichment, fitness, aquatic, social and travel offerings. We also offer supportive senior services such as Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Service, Transportation and more. Residents 50+ of the City of Rochester Hills, City of Rochester and Charter Township of Oakland are automatically members of the 90,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility.
