Report of Construction Site Stolen Tools

Rochester, MI - June 29, 2022 - A Rochester officer was dispatched to a construction site within the City to take a report of stolen tools. The reporting party stated someone broke into the construction site overnight and stole tools. It was also reported that the suspect(s) covered the windows in a glue. The officer documented the stolen tools, and the case is being investigated by the Investigations Bureau.


Drug Impaired Driver Arrested. Drugs Found in Shoe!

Rochester, MI - June 30, 2022 - A Rochester officer was performing selective enforcement at the intersection of Main St and Woodward. The officer observed an orange vehicle travelling southbound blatantly run the red light. The officer followed the vehicle on Main St where it appeared to be traveling at high rate of speed. The officer then observes the vehicle turn right onto University without stopping for the red light. The officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, a 20-year-old, from Rochester Hills.

The officer observed signs of drug impairment and requested the driver exit the vehicle for further investigation. The driver performed multiple field sobriety tests which he failed. The driver was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of drugs. During the vehicle search, the officer located 2 vials containing a liquid drug. The driver was transported to RPD for a chemical blood test. During a search of the subject, additional narcotics were in his shoe. The subject was lodged at RPD until sober and will be issued a citation pending the results of the blood test.


Report of Stolen Tools from Resident

Rochester, MI - July 6, 2022 - A Rochester officer was dispatched to a residence within the city to take a report of tools being stolen. The officer met with the reporting party who explained someone had taken 2 ceramic pots from their front porch, 2 ceramic pots from the back porch. The reporting party also stated the suspect forced entry in their shed and took a DeWalt power drill and multiple hand tools. The incident is being investigated by the RPD Detective Bureau.
