Sheriff’s Detectives Investigating Death of Mother and Daughter at Rochester Hills Residence

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – June 28, 2022 - – Oakland County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating the deaths of a mother and a daughter who were found deceased Monday as a result of gunshot wounds in the daughter’s Rochester Hills residence.

A call was made to the Sheriff’s Emergency Operations Center at 8:39 p.m. from an address on Stratford Lane reporting two women were deceased in the residence. Upon arrival, Deputies met with the husband/father of the victims, who said both women suffered from ongoing medical issues, and he had gone to check on their wellbeing.

Detectives found the bodies of the daughter, age 50, and the mother, age 75, in a bedroom in the residence. The investigation revealed the daughter had a history of suicide attempts. The mother had moved into her daughter’s residence to assist with the daughter’s care. Detectives are working to rule out foul play.

Detectives believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
