Rochester, MI, May 22, 2022 - by Hannah Stewart - The rain could not keep me away from the farmers market this weekend. I have been so inspired by this Farm to Table series and creating recipes every week using the fresh ingredients, and with the looming possibility of rain on the horizon, I quickly got out of the house and went early to the Market.

The Rochester Farmers Market was booming once again this week, with hundreds of passersby purchasing the fresh produce that local farmers have to offer. This weeks Farm to Table recipe is a Stuffed Meatballs with Marinara Dipping Sauce featuring ONLY ingredients purchased at the downtown Rochester Farmers' Market.

Made ONLY from ingredients purchased at the downtown Rochester Farmers' Market.

Did you know that Farmers Markets have dairy products? and this week I decided to feature Cheese Curds in my recipe and used ground beef from a local farmer to create a stuffed meatball with a delicious dipping sauce. It was AMAZING. My kids even downed multiple servings, with a sauce, which is a win in my book any day.

This recipe was fun to make, and it was easy to prep as well, so easy, my daughter helped me make the whole recipe, and loved stuffing the cheese curds in the meatballs, and stealing some cheese in the process. I love being able to bring my kids into my cooking love and sharing my passion with them.

Cooking for me is a way I show love to the people around me, and purchasing local ingredients from people who cultivate food with love brings so much to every dish.

Having the opportunity to head to my local farmers market and buy ingredients made with love, to then be inspired at home to cook with love, means so much to me. And today I couldn’t be more excited to bring you into my home and share with you some of the food I’ve made with love because of my local farmers market.

Farm to table food is fresh, tastes incredible, and supports your local community, and the freshness is so evident in every meal. You CAN taste the difference, and I don’t think it can get any better.

This year, we decided to hop in and support our local farmers in Rochester, Michigan, by creating a brand new farmers market fresh recipe every week featuring locally produced ingredients.

Today, let’s make a Stuffed Meatball with Marinara Dipping Sauce with Cheese Curds, Ground Beef, Tomatoes, Leeks, Garlic, and Basil to name a few.
