Spring into Action at the OPC!

Rochester, MI: Jumpstart your spring at OPC (The Older Persons’ Commission)! March is going to be a busy month at the facility, and area residents 50 and older are invited to come in and experience all that the OPC has to offer.

For the entire month of March, the OPC will celebrate Spring into Action, where current and new members can experience the multitude of fitness, aquatics, Enrichment and Arts classes, events and programs offered at the facility. Everyone 50+ is encouraged to visit to learn more about the benefits of joining this organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of local seniors.

OPC membership, free to all residents 50+ of Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township, provides state of the art fitness amenities, therapy and lap pools, and Enrichment and Arts programming taught and presented by professionals and leaders in their respective fields. OPC presents everything from pickleball to ballet, self-defense, interval training and lane swimming to aqua yoga, fine arts, pottery, lectures, concerts, a woodshop and lapidary. The organization also offers local transportation, an on-site Adult Day Service and provides Meals on Wheels. There truly is something for everyone!


Spring Into Action Kick-off Presentation ‘The Positive Shift’ with Author Stacie Zotkowski

Stacie’s creative strategies and engaging activities are designed to unlock unlimited potential to move people toward their goals. Inspirational Art Exhibit & Sale

March 7 – 11

Fine art, pottery, needle arts, woodworking and crafts all created by talented OPC artists and artisans are available for viewing, judging and some for purchase! A People’s Choice Award will be presented at a reception on Friday, March 11 at 2pm.
