MOD+ Rochester Magazine Cover Contest

ROCHESTER, MI – February 7, 2022 – The Rochester DDA is seeking local artists to submit an original illustration for the upcoming issue of In Town Magazine. One will be selected to be featured as the cover art of the summer issue of the publication. In Town magazine is a vibrant bi-annual publication created to promote the Downtown Rochester area, it’s businesses, events, and promotions. The magazine is distributed to over 43,000 homes in the greater Rochester area.

“As an organization we are looking to incorporate more art into our community”, stated Taylor Clayton, Marketing Coordinator of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA). “By putting a call out to artists to be featured in our publication is one way we can display local talent.”

The mod movement is seeing a resurgence in popularity and therefore we would love to see designs that merge the “anything goes” spirit of the Mod movement collaborated with Downtown Rochester. Mod is defined as a design that is inspired by the 60s London fashion sub-culture movement known for innovative, creative pattern combinations and bold, brash colors.

Applications will be accepted from artists now through Monday, February 28th. The MOD + Rochester magazine contest is open to all artists, professional or just playing, and all ages too. Artists can download the application at www.downtownrochestermi.com/mod-intown.
