The Village of Rochester Hills Countdowns to Christmas with Live Reindeer and More This Weekend!

Michigan’s premier lifestyle center provides complimentary Live Reindeer and Santa Visits, and other entertainment now until Christmas Eve

(Rochester Hills, MI – December 16, 2021) – The Metro Detroit community is invited to finish their holiday to-do list and enjoy complimentary entertainment at The Village of Rochester Hills (The Village).

Last Minute Shoppers: The Village has Over 50 Retailers to Find the Perfect Gift

Located on the corners of Adams Rd. and Walton Blvd., The Village is known for being Michigan’s premier outdoor shopping and lifestyle center, providing guests in and around the Metro Detroit area with quality, exclusive shopping experience for almost two decades. The Village has recently welcomed Pandora into the Village last month, following Sundance, Yoga Six, Oakland County’s first Busted Bra Shop, and Michigan-based Beautiphi Aesthetic Boutique.

With the 50-some additional retail and restaurant options to choose from, there are plenty of gifting options for the whole family! Even the tough gift-receivers are easier to figure out with the Village gift cards, which are good at all Village retailers. Gift cards are available at a 24-hour kiosk, located in the Village’s Fountain Park, which is in between Barnes & Noble and Menchie’s Yogurt.

Complimentary Visits from Live Reindeer, Santa and Local Artists

In between the shopping, guests are encouraged to take advantage of the complimentary, family-friendly entertainment taking place from December 16 through Christmas Eve at the Village.

For example, real life reindeer are back by popular demand in our Festival Park on December 18 and 19, from 12 to 4 p.m. Families are welcomed to stop by and snap a selfie with these larger-than-life animals, professionally handled and supervised. Further, local artists will perform inside our Warming Tent in our Fountain Park (near Barnes & Noble) throughout the weekend as well.

Additionally, Santa Claus continues his contact-free visits with Metro Detroit families inside The Village’s Gazebo, also known as his “Santa Snug,” located next to Bravo Restaurant at The Village. Families are welcome to make a formal reservation or walk-up throughout Santa’s visiting hours now through Christmas Eve. There is no charge for visits, but families are asked to remember their cameras to snap photos.
