Annual “Light the Village” Fireworks Show & Parade Returns to The Village of Rochester Hills This Friday, November 19, 2021

Anticipation fills the air as families young and old cheer in the Holiday season with a spectacular “Light the Village” celebration at The Village of Rochester Hills on Friday, November 19, 2021.
Anjelica Dudek, Marketing Coordinator for The Village of Rochester Hills, has been hard at work preparing for the big event. She shared, “After a year of pause, The Village is thrilled to announce the return of its annual “Light the Village” outdoor celebration. This has been a two-decade-old tradition, drawing thousands of families throughout the Metro Detroit area. This year, the Village, along with the City of Rochester Hills, has curated a variety of entertainment for all ages.”
Fireworks light-up the sky!
The event begins at 5:00 pm with D.J. Mike of Prestige Entertainment spinning the latest hits. Guests will be able to try a variety of delectable treats from Bear Claw Coffee, Bubble Bee Tea, Detroit Freeze, DVine Cookies, Ingram Candies, and the Little Donut Factory.
Stan the Fireman will be on hand offering mini-firetruck rides for the children.
At 6pm, there will be a live performance from Kevin Wills (Rochester Hill's very own "Frank Sinatra").
Families Gather for the Outdoor Celebration!
Around 6:45pm, spectators will enjoy a delightful parade down Main Street. Santa Claus will keep a close eye on the parade, observing all the local talent, including Mayor Bryan K. Barnett, who is planning on giving Santa a key to the city!
At approximately 7:15-7:30 pm, the countdown begins to a brand-new dazzling display of fireworks lighting up the night sky, provided by The City of Rochester Hills.
From 8pm to 9pm, get ready for walk-up visits with Santa Claus.

All those attending will be among the first in the community to see The Village covered in thousands of holiday lights, thanks to our partners at English Gardens.
