Burlington Opens New Store in Rochester Hills’ Winchester Center

Burlington brings LOVE the DEALS message packaged in bright store to Rochester.

Since August 20th, 2021 Burlington has opened 63 stores across the US. That’s almost a store a day. Among those locations is the new Burlington Store in Rochester Hills, on the Southwest corner of Rochester Road and Avon Road in the old Stein Mart building.

The story starts in 1972, Monroe and Henrietta Milstein opened the Burlington Coat Factory in Burlington, New Jersey. They specialized in off-brand discounted coats and outerwear. In 2009, the company dropped the term “Coat Factory” from its name and became Burlington. Today, Burlington is so much more than coats.

The Company’s stores offer an extensive selection of in-season, fashion-focused merchandise at up to 60% off other retailers’ prices every day, including women’s ready-to-wear apparel, menswear, youth apparel, baby, beauty, footwear, accessories, home, toys and of course…coats.

The formula is working, Burlington is now in the Fortune 500 with revenues of $5.8 billion. This new Rochester Hills store will help bring their total store count to 824 by the end of November 2021. Two additional Burlington Stores opened in Michigan in October. The Kalamazoo and Walker, Michigan stores both opened October 29th.

What’s attracting customers to Burlington and contributing to their meteoric growth? Burlington’s number one priority is delivering an experience leaving customers wanting to return again and again. They have responded to customer feedback with better brands of merchandise, stricter standards for sizing and labels, improved store signage, and better lighting and fixtures.

The Grand Opening of the Rochester Hills store was Friday, November 5th, 2021.
